The Mississippi Orthopaedic Society, a state society for the orthopaedic surgeons, was founded in an
effort to raise the standards of orthopaedic practices by providing ongoing education, networking,
recognition and certification.

The Mississippi Orthopaedic Society exists to enhance its members' ability to provide the highest possible quality musculoskeletal care to patients. This goal is served by the Society's promotion of continuing medical education and physician professionalism and collegiality. In addition to the provision of scientific education, the Society strives to educate its members on socioeconomic and political issues which affect or control their ability to provide high quality medical care. This includes participation in the legislative process as it affects the care of patients.

Our website features interactive presentations on Hip anatomy, Knee anatomy, Total Hip Replacement (THR), Total Knee Replacement (TKR), Hip Resurfacing, Knee Arthroscopy, Anterior Cruciate ligament ACL Reconstruction, Unicondylar (Unicompartmental) Knee Replacement, Revision Hip Replacement, Revision Knee Replacement and much more.

The information in this website is provided to reinforce the advice you receive from your
own doctors and is not intended to replace discussions with your doctor.

Keeping up to date with the latest developments is crucial in today's medical environment
and it is therefore our policy to host several update courses and conferences every year.

We hope you find the website useful and informative. Thank you for visiting us.
